What should I do to be saved?

What do I do to obtain righteousness by faith and to win salvation by redemption?

The decision of believing in Jesus Christ and His redeeming blood on the cross is of great importance in guaranteeing that you will be in heaven in paradise in the after life. And this is the decision which every person on this earth needs to make because it is the only means to enter paradise. Here, honored sister, are some points that are important for you to note.

FIRST: God is love

To know and be sure that God is love, the Almighty God love you, and nobody and nothing in all the earth can stop God's love for you, in fact He is yearning for your decision to come close to Him. God has proclaimed this clearly in the Old Testament for the Holy Bible. "I have loved you with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself." (Jeremiah 31:3)

SECOND: God is holy

This means that God is infallible; He cannot commit sin or do evil. This was stated in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, in Leviticus 19:2, "…..I, the Lord your God, am Holy."

THIRD: Sin causes separation

Committing sin causes separation between husband and wife, between father and son, and sin also separates men and women who commit it from God. Isaiah 59:2, "Your sins have cut you off from God. Because of your sin, he has turned away and will not listen anymore."

FOURTH: We cannot save ourselves

None of us can do anything to correct the situation, because our human nature has a tendency to evil. This is stated in the Holy Bible, in the New Testament, in Romans 3:10, "No one is good-not even one."

FIFTH: God has taken our punishment from us

God, through Jesus Christ, has taken our punishment for us. He forgave us when we deserved to be punished for our sins, and that was by Christ's death on the cross, where He endured torment which we were supposed to endure as our punishment. Isaiah 53:4-6, "Yet it was our weakness he carried, it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God for his own sins! But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed! All of us have strayed away like sheep. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the guilt and sins of us all."

SIXTH: Accept Jesus Christ

If you were given a bank check for a large amount, this amount would not be yours until you had cashed that check at the bank. Jesus Christ died and took the punishment which you deserve for your offences and sins, and God raised Him from the dead. And He is living today and for ever to be your personal Savior and the Lord whom you should allow to reign in your life.

He stands at the door of hour life, knocking at that door, and He is waiting for you to open to Him, so that He can enter your life; so the decision is yours, John Gospel 1:12, "But to all who-believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God."

SEVENTH: How is Christ's acceptance accomplished?

Accept Jesus Christ and you will be guaranteed the forgiveness of your sins now, without any preliminary procedures, or works of charity, or ordinances, or ceremonies, or special acts of worship.
