INTERNAL EVIDENCE FOR THE DATE AND AUTHORSHIP
We now come to the examination of the contents of the book itself; the internal evidence. We shall divide this part into the following sections:
A. Proof that the writer was a European (probably an Italian) of the Middle Ages.
B. Proof that he knew little of Palestine, historically or geographically.
C. Proof that some of his statements in themselves are unworthy of acceptance.
D. Proof that, though he supports Islam, he conflicts with the Qur'an.
Then we shall state our conclusion, negatively and positively, about the authorship of the "The Gospel of Barnabas".
