Another time I was on the highest peak of the temple. "Throw yourself down," the Devil whispered, "no harm will touch you. If you are the Son of God, He'll protect you and the people will adore you."
"You're hungry," he whispered, "but if you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread"...I refused his temptation of being a Messiah, a Christ who would
not suffer-be it suffering from hunger... Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from God!
